True Identity

October 9 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

“True Identity: Helping Teens Find Strength in a Godly Self-Image” – Chris Mazzarella

There is a lot of pressure on our teens today to conform.  The world is trying to define them and tell them who they should be.  As parents, we long for our teen or tween to be secure and confident in who they are in Christ.  We want our teen to have a strong Godly self-image that can stand up to the peer pressure, social pressure, and voices calling out to them to conform.  We want the voice of God in their lives to speak far louder that the voice of others, reminding them of their true identity.  Dr. Chris Mazzarella will share with us how we can help our teens find real strength in a Godly self-image.

Dr. Chris Mazzarella is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience as a mental health professional. Dr. Chris is a general practitioner utilizing a variety of treatment approaches to work with people experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, self-esteem issues, parenting problems, and spiritual concerns.  He is the director of the Heritage Center for Child and Family Resilience and is a clinical supervisor in the clinical training program at Heritage.   Dr. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife of over 25 years, their three teenage children, and puggle, Lucy.
