Cheryl Pacilio
“More please”: Raising grateful kids in a materialistic world

‘Tis the season for wish lists, elf spies, and the big man with the bag of presents…and you are in charge! How does one fight the temptation of promoting greed while desiring generosity in our home and in our own hearts? Learn how to spot the “fear of missing out” anxiety that drives the MORE MORE MORE of motherhood and subsequently fuels the ME ME ME of childhood (Christmas and beyond). Lean into less-is-more thinking in good company. Name healthy limits in advance of circumstances, and develop a practice of gratitude in your heart and home as a good gift in itself! Adjusting expectations for yourself and others is a gift that keeps on giving!

Cheryl is an ever-learning woman, wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a teacher, student, minister and mess. Having lived long enough to become “blonder” and more humble, she delights in sharing lessons learned through the gentle and patient transformational power of Jesus and the school of hard-knocks. As culture changes, and we look for things that last and matter despite circumstances, Cheryl believes the way to go is most knowable when we look up and wonder together.
