Addressing and Overcoming Mom Guilt

Aubrey Sampson

Moms carry so much- diaper bags, car seats, groceries, our kiddos to bed at night. But the heaviest thing moms carry? GUILT. We feel guilty about everything — from the type of birth and labor we have, to the type of meals our kids are eating, and more. We second-guess nearly every decision and constantly wonder if we are doing a good enough job. Moms, you have God-given instincts and tools to help you live free from the guilt and shame you carry. In this session, we’ll talk about the reality of mom guilt and how to find freedom from it. You are doing the hardest job in the world. You can learn to enjoy it and be free from the guilt you carry!

Aubrey Sampson is the author of many books including her latest, Known: How Believing Who God Says You Are Changes Everything. Overcomer: Breaking Down the Walls of Shame and Rebuilding Your Soul (Zondervan, 2015) and the award-nominated The Louder Song: Listening for Hope in the Midst of Lament (NavPress, 2019).  She is also the co-host of a daily talk show — The Common Good Talk Show— on AM 1160 Hope For Your Life, and the Nothing is Wasted Podcast.  Aubrey writes for Propel Women and Christianity Today  and contributes to Ann Voskamp’s A Holy Experience, Lifeway, Proverbs 31, and more.  She shares her life with her husband Kevin and their three amazing boys.
