Managing Mental Health: How to Pursue Mental Health and Wellness for Teens and Tweens Struggling with Anxiety and Depression
Dr. Deb Gorton, LCP
According to the National Alliance for Mental Illness (2019), 1 in 5 individuals experiences mental illness in given year in the U.S. This statistic is just as true for children as it is adults. Join us as Dr. Deb Gorton teaches us how to recognize and respond to tweens and teens wrestling with mental issues, including depression and anxiety, as well as how to encourage and promote their mental health and wellness from a biblically-rooted and clinically-integrated perspective.
Dr. Gorton holds an MA in Psychology and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, along with an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She now serves as the Gary Chapman Chair for Marriage and Family Ministry and Counseling at Moody Theological Seminary as well as the Program Director for Moody’s Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.
