Raising Kids with Grit and Perseverance
Have you ever wondered why some people cope with curveballs, disappointments, or tragedy better than others? And what’s all this talk about the “snowflake generation”? Well-meaning parents sometimes try to shield their children from life’s obstacles, but is this always helpful? These questions and more will be answered as Shelly Wildman discusses the importance of building resiliency in our kids.
Shelly Wildman is thrilled to be back at Moms Together for a second time. The author of First Ask Why: Raising Kids to Love God Through Intentional Discipleship, Shelly is a writer, speaker, and avid traveler who lives in Wheaton, IL. Shelly and her husband Brian are members of College Church in Wheaton and have three adult daughters.
All remote sessions are FREE this season!

Dates & Times*
Moms Together meets monthly from October through May.
Our 2020-2021 season will begin with virtual meetings three times each month. Through December, we will offer the following options:
- Session A: typically the first Thursday of the month, from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
- Session B: typically the second Tuesday of the month, from 1:00-2:15 p.m.
- Session C: typically on the third Thursday of the month, from 8:00-9:15 p.m.
- Facebook Private Group: watch the video on your own then join discussion on Facebook. If you choose this option, the video will be sent to you after Session C each month.
We will return to in-person meetings as soon as we can safely do so. A decision for our January sessions will be made as soon as we are able.
*All dates and times are subject to change. Please check back often for the latest information.
While we are meeting virtually, we will not be able to offer children’s programming. Once we are able to meet again in person, we hope to resume our children’s programming as well.
Remote sessions will be FREE through the remainder of this season. Registration online is required for each remote session.
When we are able to return to meeting in person, the cost for attendance will be $5.00 per person plus child care. When Kids Together resumes, it will be available for $2 per child. Please register and pay online in advance of each in-person meeting. We will no longer be accepting cash or check payments at the door and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Moms Together does not want payment to ever be a barrier for you! Scholarships are available for moms who need it. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Until further notice, we will be meeting virtually via Zoom. The link to each meeting will be provided upon registration.
